Hungarian Delegation from MTA Wigner Research Centre for Physics Visits IOP CAS

Professor György Wolf of MTA WIGNER Research Centre for Physics (MTA Wigner RC), Hungary, together with Ms. Siklos Lili, Science & Technology Attaché of Embassy of Hungary in Beijing, paid a visit to the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOP CAS) on the morning of September 9. Prof. Lu Li, Prof. Fan Hang, Prof. Wang Ruquan, Prof. Zhang Zhe, and Prof. Zhao Kun of IOP CAS, attended the greeting and exchanged views with the visitors.

Mr. Lu Li first extended warm welcome, on behalf of IOP, to the guests, and then briefly introduced IOP, including its research highlights, international cooperation, and future development plans. Professor György Wolf also made a brief introduction of MTA Wigner RC and its joint projects with China, both in progress and expected to be launched in the future. In the free discussion that followed, both sides expressed their expectations for collaboration in the research of neutron scattering and high energy laser, and their willingness to promote the introduction of post doctors from Hungary and exchange of students. Efforts will be made to pursue appropriate approaches of collaboration within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.

After the meeting, the delegation visited IOP's Lab for Solid State Quantum Information and Quantum Computation and Key Lab for Optical Physics, and exchanged ideas with local researchers and students.
