Date:19-06-2024 Print

The 11th International Workshop on Surfaces and Interfaces of Quantum Materials was held from June 5 to 7, at the Institute of Physics (IOP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The workshop was organized by Group SF06 and Group SF08 of the Laboratory for Surface Physics and Group L03 of Laboratory of Optical Physics at IOP. Prof. Jiandong Guo, CAS Academician Kuijuan Jin, and Prof. Jiandi Zhang served as co-chairs of the organizing committee.

The workshop invited over 80 experts, scholars, and graduate students from renowned research institutions and universities from both home and abroad.

Twenty experts from both domestic and international institutions specializing in low-dimensional quantum materials presented keynote presentations, introducing the latest research advancements in their respective fields. The main topics of discussion included: topological electronic states and novel magnetic ground states at surfaces/interfaces, magnetic properties and multiferroic behavior at interfaces, theoretical studies of novel electronic states and magnetic ground states at interfaces, investigation of interface electronic states and collective excitations. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions and lively exchanges.
