International Workshop on Quantum Materials at Extremes Held on IOP Huairou Campus
Date:24-10-2024 Print
The International Workshop on Quantum Materials at Extremes was held from October 15-16, 2024, on Huairou Campus of the Institute of Physics (IOP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The workshop was organized under the framework of the Joint Research Center for Quantum Materials and Physics under Extreme Conditions, a collaboration project jointly undertaken by IOP and the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids in Germany and supported by CAS.
The workshop invited experts and scholars from institutions including the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids, the Max Planck Institute for Microstructure Physics, the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research, Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, CNRS High Magnetic Field Laboratory, Pennsylvania State University, Tokyo Metropolitan University, Renmin University of China, and Beihang University, along with researchers from IOP. Together, they exchanged the latest research advancements in the field of quantum materials, discussed key areas for collaborative research using the Synergetic Extreme Condition User Facility (SECUF), and provided suggestions for the development and construction of the joint center.
