The 2nd International Conference on Nonequilibrium and Ultrafast Quantum States Held in Dongguan
Date:31-10-2024 Print
The 2nd International Conference on Nonequilibrium and Ultrafast Quantum States (NUQS-2024) was held from October 22 to 26, 2024 on the new campus of Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory. Co-hosted by the Institute of Physics (IOP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and the Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory, the conference attracted over 120 experts and students from countries like the United States, Europe and Japan. Attendees gathered to discuss the latest advancements in nonequilibrium states and ultrafast dynamics research.
During the five-day event, participants engaged in in-depth exchanges and visited the site of the advanced attosecond laser facility being planned. They discussed about key research directions, future trends and challenges, including non-equilibrium phenomena in condensed matter physics, excited-state dynamics, nonlinear optics in quantum materials, high-order harmonic generation, strong-field physics, ultrafast and multidimensional spectroscopy, coherent states and nonlinear phonons, and the development of experimental and theoretical approaches.
This conference was organized by the Center for Ultrafast Physical Sciences at IOP and is one of the center's regular academic activities.
