IOP has played an active role in the development of the China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS). Situated in Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, CSNS is a world-class neutron scattering research platform and one of the four major spallation neutron sources globally. It provides critical support for cutting-edge scientific and technological innovation across multiple disciplines. In September 2017, CSNS generated its first neutron beam.
