From June 1 to 5, 2023, Hu Jiangping, Deputy Director of the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOP, CAS), led a delegation to visit the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics (MPIQO) and Deutsches Elektronen Synchrotron (DESY) in Germany.

During the visit, the delegation had in-depth discussions with the two German institutes on topics such as research progress, high-tech transfer, talent cultivation, institution management, and potential cooperation opportunities in the future.

The visit strengthened the international academic exchange in the field of ultrafast science between IOP and top international research institutions and laid a solid foundation for future international cooperation in related fields.
