Criticality and universality in percolation

University of Michigan

Abstract: A review of classical percolation theory is presented, including finding thresholds exactly and numerically. Recent work on shape-dependent universality for crossing and excess number is discussed. Inhomogeneous systems with checkerboard probabilities are shown to have a general parallelogram geometry.
