Superfluid properties of Spin-orbit coupled (SOC) Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC)

摘要:In this talk, we mainly discuss the superfluid properties of spin-orbit coupled Bose-Einstein condensate. We find a finite normal fluid density at zero temperature. In particular, the entire fluid becomes normal at transition point from zero momentum to the plane wave phase, even though the condensate fraction remains finite. Our predictions for the superfluid density are successfully compared with the available experimental results based on the measurement of the sound velocities. The relationship between superfluid density and Josephson relation for multi-component bosons are also discussed.

张义财 博士,1982年出生,2008-2014年毕业于中国科学院物理研究所,理论物理专业,获得理学博士学位。2014-2017年,在香港大学物理系从事博士后研究工作。2017年9月份,入职广州大学物理与电子工程学院。主要研究兴趣是玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚题的动力学、超流性质、集体激发谱等方面。
