The Dancing between Magnetism and Topology in Equilibrium and Non-Equilibrium

The interplay between magnetism and topology brings rich physics in the condensed matter physics. Many exotic phenomena have been observed in related systems, including the quantum anomalous Hall effect, magnetic Weyl and Dirac fermions, and the magnetic phase transition induced by topological phase transition[1]. In the first part of the talk, I will emphasize the important role of PT symmetry to determine the topological property in the antiferromagnetic (AFM) materials[2] and argue that the manipulation of PT symmetry via external electric field could induce a topological phase transition in AFM MnBi2Te4 thin film[3]. In the second part, I will focus on the emergence of new phenomena and the related topological properties in non-equilibrium, including the light induced anomalous Hall effect in graphene[4,5] and the light driven topological phase transition.

汤沛哲,2015年于清华大学获得博士学位,师从段文晖教授。2015-2017年,在美国斯坦福大学张首晟教授研究组进行博士后研究,从事拓扑物性以及相关体系磁性质的研究。2017-2018年,在德国马克思普朗克结构与动力学研究所(MPSD),Angel Rubio教授研究组进行博士后研究。2018年4月获得 Marie-Curie Fellow,继续在Rubio教授研究组工作,主要是从事量子材料非平衡物性的研究。入选国家“青年海外高层次人才”计划。目前任职北京航空航天大学材料科学与工程学院,担任准聘教授,博士生导师。迄今为止在包括 Science,Nature Physics, Nature Nano, Nature Reviews Physics, PNAS, PRL,Nature Comm.等高影响因子杂志上发表文章 30余篇,总引用3500余次。
