The edge states are a particular class of bound states. In this talk, I will show how to get the exact results of the wave function and eigenvalue for the edge states. Both of them have a simple analytical form and help us to understand why these edge states exist. Under certain conditions, those edge states can be bound states in continuum (BIC).
