(Anti-)Stokes Scattering on the Domain Wall String

In this talk, I will discuss two types of inelastic scattering processes of a single quantum of radiation off a domain wall string in a general (2+1)-dimensional scalar model. These processes involve the excitation and de-excitation of the wall’s internal shape mode and are referred to as Stokes and anti-Stokes scattering. We calculate the probability densities for these processes to first order in quantum field theory, as a function of incoming momenta and angles. Our results are given as finite-dimensional integrals of normal modes and elementary functions, and numerical results are presented in the particular case of the $\phi^4$ double-well model.

报告人简介:

Dr. Hui Liu received his B.S. from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2016, his M.S. from the Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2020, and his Ph.D. from the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2023. During his doctoral studies, he was a visiting Ph.D. student at the Arnold Sommerfeld Center for Theoretical Physics, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. After completing his Ph.D., he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences for one year, and then joined the Yerevan Physics Institute in Armenia as a Researcher. His recent research interests include: (1) quantum solitons in high energy physics, (2) exact results in supersymmetric and integrable quantum systems, gauge theories, and conformal field theories.
